Typical Champagne Itinerary

Please note: This is an example of a typical Champagne itinerary. We will create a custom itinerary, designed to meet your personal requests and interest, with "something for everyone" in your group.

Two Special Days in Champagne

  Day 1

This morning we will discover the specificities of Champagne tasting through a master class, we will learn about the geography, the history and the process of making Champagne. We will also enjoy a workshop on Champagne aromas and learn how to taste Champagne and try 3 different champagnes from 3 different producers and grape varieties. We will have lunch in a local restaurant in the Epernay region. This afternoon we will visit and have a private tasting of a prestigious Champagne house and discover the world of the Negociants Manipulants. We will also visit a family estate and discover the authenticity of a recoltant manipulant. You will improve your knowledge on vinification and champagne tasting through these visits. As a special visit, we will have a guided visit in Hautvillers village on the steps of Dom Perignon, then a visit of the vineyards near Epernay and an explanation on the work in the vines.

For dinner we will have an option for dinner at Le Parc, a two star Michelin Restaurant

Tonight will be spent at the beautiful Hotel Les Crayeres in the heart of Reims, nestled discreetly in a seven hectare park full of lush vegetation. This former home of the de Polignac family permanently recreates and modernizes the "chateau style" in an atmosphere which is one of elegant sophistication.

Day 2

This morning we will discover a prestigious Champagne House: Ruinart, Pommery, and Veuve Cliquot. Following our visit to Veuve Cliquot, we will visit the Villa Demoselle. As the flagship of a blend of art nouveau and art  deco, Villa Demoiselle was built from 1904 to 1908 according to plans by architect Louis Sorel. Lunch will be in a restaurant in the region of Reims followed by a walking tour in Reims and a visit of the Cathedral.

At the end of your day, you will be transferred to Paris or if you wish to stay another night in Champagne, to your local hotel.

Thank you for choosing Provence and Tuscany Tours for your visit to the beautiful Champagne region.
